Leadership

Jeff Thompson has guided Feedback as its CEO and President since its founding in 2009. Over the course of his 28 years in the advertising industry, Jeff Thompson has delivered significant revenues for brands like Seiko, Microsoft, Timberland, Saab USA, Gerber, The Coca-Cola Company, The University of Texas, MeadWestvaco, CamelBak, Kindred, The Wall Street Journal, BF Goodrich, Motorola and Rubbermaid Commercial Products. He’s worked with top agencies such as Ogilvy & Mather and The Martin Agency, where he led their interactive division, developing innovative marketing strategies and using unique tactics to drive sales results and build market share.

A graduate of Texas Tech University’s design portfolio program, Jeff also worked for 10 years creating award-winning marketing campaigns for higher education, healthcare and technology clients in Houston, Texas, before moving to Austin to help companies like Dell, Compaq and Microsoft launch technology products worldwide.

Jeff founded Feedback with Dean Browell and Anna Lucas in September 2009 to provide more effective research, strategy and emerging media solutions to leading brands and their PR and advertising agencies around the world. An avid blues guitarist and performing musician, Jeff divides his time between Richmond and Feedback’s London, Paris and New York offices. He’ll eagerly play a few riffs on his Gibson Custom Shop 336 – his most prized possession – upon request.

President and Chief Executive Officer

As one of the three founders of Feedback, Dean Browell’s experience and long history with behavior and tech in communication makes him a valuable ally in the pursuit of audience research, effective strategies and intelligent implementation. His research work can be seen across many industries including healthcare, consumer products, education, tourism, automotive and more.

Dean was one of the thought leaders who first recognized the unique and varying behaviors of generations online in his doctoral dissertation, World of Studentcraft: An Ethnographic Study on the Engagement of Traditional Students with an Online World. The findings identified where students come from in terms of technology, quality of interactive environment and identity / anonymity in the online space. This study has proven extremely valuable in the development of Feedback’s HumanFilter system, which encourages brands to truly listen and observe audiences before developing outreach plans.

Dean is a member of the Market Research Society, a Future Foundations nVoy, and currently serves as the co-chair of the Education committee and is a founder of the emerging media task force for SHSMD, the largest and most prominent resource for healthcare strategists, planners and marketing professionals nationwide. Dean, a graduate of Randolph-Macon College and Capella University also speaks regularly at leading business and digital media conferences around the world.

One of the early influencers of Feedback’s music culture, Dean is guided by one simple motto, “Live every day like it’s Bonnaroo.”
